The Environmental Bulletin Board for the Ozarks Region
Birds - Animals - Fish
Insects - Pollinators
Critters! The Ozarks would not be the Ozarks without our critters – snakes, bats, spiders, fish, armadillos (armadillos???), tarantulas, scorpions, hellbenders, deer, turkey, eagles….. We enjoy inhabitants of wetlands, lakes, ponds and streams, prairies, woodlands, glades, open air – because the Ozarks has all of these habitats and more. During different times of the year, we may be considered “south” to birds from the north or “north” to southern birds. Studying, protecting, and providing information about this rich, diverse population of amazing and lovable creatures (I’m thinking ‘possums here!) is the passion of a number of specialized organizations – all who welcome the opportunity to share.
